Chapter 10 - Illinois

About this Chapter:

UPHA Chaptter 10 is working to define and clarify professionalism with the horse industry and unite the Illinois professional horsepersons for the continued improvement of the horse show industry.

CHAPTER NEWS AND HIGHLIGHTS
Our last chapter meeting was held on October 3rd at the UPHA Chapter 10 Horse Show, which was held at the Ledges Sport Horse Complex in Roscoe, IL. The purpose of the meeting was to select the new officers for 2010 and to select the recepients for the UPHA Chapter 10 2090 awards. This was a well attended meeting, and for those members who were not present, many had sent in their proxy votes and wishes for chapter officers and awards. By unanimous vote, with those in attendance and with proxies, Rick Shotthofer was elected Chapter Chairman, and Bonnie Kittredge was elected Co-Chairman. Rick and Bonnie appointed Martha Hoyt as the Secretary of Chapter 10.

Nominations for the chapter awards were presented and passed, both by members present and by proxy. Rick thanked everyone who had come to the meeting, as the meeting was held after a long show day. The Chapter 10 Horse Show was SOLD OUT for a third time in a row!

A very special thanks went out to the Huntoon family for all of their help with the ASYIP Competition held at the Fall UPHA Chapter 10 Horse Show. Congratulations to Audrey Schnieder of Woodwind Farms, the winner of the $1500.00 UPHA Horsemanship Challenge. We would also like to thank at this time our 2009 UPHA Chapter 10 Champions: Country Pleasure Champion, I'm Heir Reising, Show Pleasure Champion, Callaway's Calla Lilly, Western Pleasure Champion, I Told You, and the 5-Gaited Show Pleasure Champion, The Evangelist.

All of us from Chapter 10 wish everyone a most wonderful and enchanting 2010.......
